It feels like Russell Brunson is everywhere nowadays. He’s written articles for several magazines, he’s been on TV numerous times, and has been invited into more think tanks and discussion groups to go over his ideas. But have you noticed that he’s also been giving away free advice about events and leadership and individuals and what works? I recently did a search for Russell Brunson quotations and came up with many articles and videos and then compiled them into this little list of the best.
“A lot has been said recently about leadership. What’s up now, this is Russell Brunson yet again. Nevertheless in beautiful Puerto Rico enjoying some of the best marketers, thought leaders, and personal development gurus in the world. My goal is simple, to help you become your own best leader, irrespective of whether you’re young or old.”
“If you aren’t doing anything, stop doing nothing. Do not go chasing every limelight available, do not sit around waiting for someone else to do something, do it yourself. There are a lot of ideas out there it’s impossible to take the time to learn them. Find one, learn it, and go out and live it. When I left school, I said I wanted to be an entrepreneur. Today, that dream has become reality.”
“The difference between success and failure is the amount of work you put in. Most people appear to expect that the longer they do, the better they will be. The problem is that most people never discover how to do enough to make it effective, and if they try, they will fail.”
“What is the worst that can happen? You make a mistake, and you pay the price, but it is nothing compared to what might happen if you succeed. Maybe you have noticed that few men and women who seem to live the life they’re supposed to live always seem to fail in one way or another? That is because most of them never took the time to learn what they didn’t know.”
“The only way to get to leadership is to accept the fact that you don’t have all of the answers, and then begin to find them out. If you are unwilling to change, that’s the indication of someone who doesn’t want to lead.” “The first step to leadership is being able to see where you’re not going and fixing that.” “A good leader doesn’t just bark out orders; he listens to what his people are telling him and uses that information to develop new ideas.”
“A good leader understands that leaders get great results by acting decisively, by demonstrating creativity, and by inspiring confidence. Leaders do not act based on rumors; they rely on solid facts. They plan ahead. They think before they act. They take responsibility.
“A good leader knows that nobody likes a do-it-yourself; everybody wants some help along the way. They recognize that it is not enough to just know the right thing to do; they have to have the ability to carry it out.” “The best leaders are not afraid to make mistakes and learn from them. Mistakes are an essential part of learning, but errors should not stop you until you can get back on your feet.”
“A company has a better chance of success if its products or services are exceptional, well priced, and widely available.” “Your clients will trust your judgment and take your advice more seriously when you are careful about their interests and their needs.” “You do not have to be perfect to be good in company; the more things you are willing to risk, the greater your odds for success.” “To be truly great at what you do, you will need to have a passion for this, and it should be an expression of who you are.”
This book discusses various leadership styles. It lists the characteristics of each style, which include: modesty, influence, honor, assertiveness, and respect. I highly recommend this book to anyone who has ever considered becoming a leader, and especially someone who has a background in business or management. This book gives a very clear picture of exactly how critical leadership is, and how to develop leadership skills. Russell Brunson is a leader who achieved enormous success as both an executive and a coach.
He has written a very interesting and thought provoking read that everyone should read. If you’re looking for an excellent introduction to the subject, with solid information and effective leadership strategies, this is it. Highly recommended.
