It feels like Russell Brunson is everywhere these days. He’s written articles for several magazines, he has been on TV numerous times, and has been invited into more think tanks and discussion groups to go over his ideas. But have you noticed that he’s also been giving away free advice about events and leadership and people and what works? I recently did a search for Russell Brunson quotations and came up with many videos and articles and then compiled them into this small list of the best.
“A lot has been said recently about direction. What’s up today, this is Russell Brunson yet again. Nevertheless in beautiful Puerto Rico enjoying some of the best marketers, thought leaders, and personal development gurus in the world. My goal is simple, to help you become your own best leader, regardless of whether you’re young or old.”
“If you are not doing anything, stop doing nothing. Do not go chasing every limelight available, don’t sit around waiting for somebody else to do something, do it yourself. There are a lot of ideas out there it is not possible to take the time to learn them. Find one, learn it, and go out and live it. When I left school, I said I wanted to be an entrepreneur. Today, that dream is now reality.”
“The difference between success and failure is the amount of work you put in. Most people appear to expect that the more they do, the better they will be. The issue is that most people never find out how to do enough to make it successful, and if they try, they will fail.”
“What is the worst that can happen? You make a mistake, and you pay the purchase price, but it’s nothing compared to what could happen if you succeed. Have you ever noticed that few men and women who appear to live the life that they’re supposed to live always appear to fail in one way or another? That is because most of them never took the time to learn what they did not know.”
“The only way to get to leadership is to accept the fact that you don’t have all the answers, and then begin to figure them out. If you’re reluctant to change, that’s the indication of someone who doesn’t want to lead.” “The first step to leadership is having the ability to see where you’re not going and fixing that.” “A good leader does not just bark out orders; he also listens to what his people are telling him and uses that information to come up with new ideas.”
“A good leader realizes that leaders get good results by acting decisively, by showing creativity, and by inspiring confidence. Leaders do not act based on rumors; they rely on solid facts. They plan ahead. They think before they act. They take responsibility.
“A good leader knows that nobody likes a do-it-yourself; everybody wants some assistance along the way. They recognize that it is not enough to just know the perfect thing to do; they must have the ability to carry it out.” “The best leaders aren’t afraid to make mistakes and learn from them. Mistakes are a crucial part of learning, but mistakes should not stop you before you can get back on your feet.”
“A business has a better chance of success if its products or services are unique, well priced, and broadly available.” “Your customers will trust your judgment and take your advice seriously when you are cautious about their interests and their needs.” “You do not have to be perfect to be great in business; the more things you are willing to risk, the greater your odds for success.” “To be truly great at what you do, you need to have a passion for it, and it ought to be an expression of who you are.”
This book discusses various leadership styles. It lists the characteristics of each style, including: modesty, sway, honor, assertiveness, and esteem. I strongly recommend this book to anybody who has ever considered becoming a leader, and especially someone who has a background in business or management. This book gives a very clear picture of exactly how critical leadership is, and how to develop leadership skills. Russell Brunson is a leader who achieved enormous success as both an executive and a coach.
He has written a very interesting and thought provoking read that everyone should read. If you are looking for an excellent introduction to the subject, with good information and effective leadership strategies, this is it. Highly recommended.
