It feels like Russell Brunson is everywhere these days. He has written articles for several magazines, he has been on TV numerous times, and has been invited into more think tanks and discussion groups to go over his ideas. But have you noticed that he has also been giving out free advice about events and leadership and people and what works? I recently did a search for Russell Brunson quotations and came up with many articles and videos and then compiled them into this little list of the best.
“A lot has been said recently about leadership. What’s up now, this is Russell Brunson yet again. Nevertheless in beautiful Puerto Rico enjoying some of the finest marketers, thought leaders, and personal development gurus in the world. My goal is simple, to help you become your own best leader, irrespective of whether you are old or young.”
“If you are not doing anything, stop doing nothing. Don’t go chasing every limelight available, don’t sit around waiting for somebody else to do something, do it yourself. There are so many ideas out there it’s impossible to take the time to learn them. Find one, learn it, and go out and live it. When I left school, I said that I wanted to become an entrepreneur. Today, that dream has become reality.”
“The difference between success and failure is the amount of work you put in. Most people seem to expect that the longer they do, the better they will be. The issue is that most people never discover the way to do enough to make it successful, and if they try, they will fail.”
“What is the worst that can happen? You make a mistake, and you pay the purchase price, but it is nothing compared to what might happen if you succeed. Have you ever noticed that few people who seem to live the life that they’re supposed to live always seem to fail in one way or another? That is because most of them never took the time to learn what they didn’t know.”
“The only way to get to leadership is to accept the fact that you don’t have all of the answers, and then start to find them out. If you’re unwilling to change, that is the indication of a person who doesn’t need to lead.” “The first step to leadership is having the ability to see where you are not going and fixing that.” “A great leader doesn’t just bark out orders; he listens to what his people are telling him and uses that information to develop new ideas.”
“A fantastic leader understands that leaders get great results by acting decisively, by showing creativity, and by inspiring confidence. Leaders do not act based on rumors; they rely on solid facts. They plan ahead. They think before they act. They take responsibility.
“A great leader knows that nobody likes a do-it-yourself; everybody wants some help along the way. They recognize that it is not enough to just know the right thing to do; they must be able to carry it out.” “The best leaders are not afraid to make mistakes and learn from them. Mistakes are an essential part of learning, but errors should not stop you until you can get back on your feet.”
“A business has a better chance of success if its products or services are unique, well priced, and broadly available.” “Your clients will trust your judgment and take your advice more seriously when you’re cautious about their interests and their needs.” “You don’t have to be perfect to be good in company; the more things you are willing to risk, the greater your chances for success.” “To be truly great at what you do, you need to have a passion for this, and it ought to be an expression of who you are.”
This book discusses various leadership styles. It lists the characteristics of each style, including: modesty, influence, honor, assertiveness, and respect. I strongly recommend this book to anybody who has ever considered becoming a leader, and especially someone that has a background in business or management. This book gives a very clear picture of exactly how critical leadership is, and how to develop leadership skills. Russell Brunson is a leader who achieved tremendous success as both an executive and a coach.
He’s written a very interesting and thought provoking read that everyone should read. If you’re looking for an excellent introduction to the subject, with solid info and effective leadership strategies, this is it. Highly suggested.
