It seems like Russell Brunson is everywhere nowadays. He’s written articles for several magazines, he’s been on TV numerous times, and has been invited to think tanks and discussion groups to discuss his ideas. But have you noticed that he’s also been giving away free advice about leadership and events and people and what works? I recently did a search for Russell Brunson quotations and came up with many videos and articles and then compiled them into this small list of the best.
“A lot has been said recently about leadership. What’s up now, this is Russell Brunson yet again. Still in beautiful Puerto Rico enjoying some of the finest marketers, thought leaders, and personal development gurus in the world. My goal is simple, to help you become your own best leader, irrespective of whether you’re old or young.”
“If you aren’t doing anything, stop doing nothing. Do not go chasing every limelight available, do not sit around waiting for somebody else to do something, do it yourself. There are a lot of ideas out there it is not possible to take the time to learn them. Find one, learn it, and go out and live it. When I left college, I said I wanted to be an entrepreneur. Today, that dream is now reality.”
“The difference between success and failure is the amount of work you put in. Most individuals seem to expect that the longer they do, the better they’ll be. The issue is that most people never find out the way to do enough to make it successful, and if they try, they’ll fail.”
“What is the worst that can happen? You make a mistake, and you pay the purchase price, but it is nothing compared to what could happen if you succeed. Maybe you have noticed that few men and women who seem to live the life that they’re supposed to live always seem to fail in one way or another? That’s because most of them never took the time to learn what they did not know.”
“The only way to get to leadership is to accept the fact that you don’t have all of the answers, and then begin to figure them out. If you’re reluctant to change, that’s the indication of a person who doesn’t want to lead.” “The first step to leadership is being able to see where you are not going and fixing that.” “A good leader doesn’t just bark out orders; he also listens to what his people are telling him and utilizes that information to develop new ideas.”
“A fantastic leader understands that leaders get good results by acting decisively, by showing creativity, and by inspiring confidence. Leaders do not act based on rumors; they rely on solid facts. They plan ahead. They think before they act. They take responsibility.
“A great leader knows that nobody likes a do-it-yourself; everyone wants some assistance along the way. They recognize that it is not enough to just know the perfect thing to do; they must be able to carry it out.” “The best leaders are not afraid to make mistakes and learn from them. Mistakes are an essential part of learning, but mistakes should not stop you before you can get back on your feet.”
“A company has a better probability of success if its goods or services are exceptional, well priced, and widely available.” “Your customers will trust your judgment and take your advice more seriously when you’re careful about their interests and their needs.” “You do not have to be perfect to be great in company; the more things you are willing to risk, the greater your odds for success.” “To be truly great at what you do, you will need to have a passion for it, and it should be an expression of who you are.”
This book discusses various leadership styles. It lists the characteristics of each style, including: modesty, sway, honor, assertiveness, and esteem. I highly recommend this book to anybody who has ever considered becoming a leader, and especially someone who has a background in business or management. This book gives a very clear picture of exactly how critical leadership is, and how to develop leadership skills. Russell Brunson is a leader who achieved enormous success as both an executive and a coach.
He’s written a very interesting and thought provoking read that everyone should read. If you’re looking for an excellent introduction to the topic, with good info and effective leadership approaches, this is it. Highly suggested.
