It seems like Russell Brunson is everywhere these days. He’s written articles for many magazines, he has been on TV numerous times, and has been invited into more think tanks and discussion groups to discuss his ideas. But have you noticed that he has been giving away free advice about leadership and events and people and what works? I recently did a search for Russell Brunson quotations and came up with many videos and articles and then compiled them into this small list of the best.
“A lot has been said recently about leadership. What’s up now, this is Russell Brunson yet again. Still in beautiful Puerto Rico enjoying some of the best marketers, thought leaders, and personal development gurus in the world. My objective is simple, to help you become your own best leader, regardless of whether you are young or old.”
“If you aren’t doing anything, stop doing nothing. Do not go chasing every limelight available, don’t sit around waiting for someone else to do something, do it yourself. There are a lot of ideas out there it is impossible to take the time to learn them. Find one, learn it, and go out and live it. When I left college, I said I wanted to be an entrepreneur. Today, that dream has become reality.”
“The difference between success and failure is the amount of work you put in. Most people appear to expect that the longer they do, the better they will be. The issue is that most people never find out how to do enough to make it effective, and if they try, they will fail.”
“What’s the worst that can happen? You make a mistake, and you pay the price, but it’s nothing compared to what might happen if you succeed. Maybe you have noticed that few men and women who seem to live the life that they’re supposed to live always seem to fail in one way or another? That’s because most of them never took the time to learn what they didn’t know.”
“The only way to get to leadership is to accept the fact that you don’t have all of the answers, and then start to figure them out. If you are unwilling to change, that’s the sign of a person who doesn’t need to lead.” “The first step to leadership is having the ability to see where you are not going and fixing that.” “A good leader does not just bark out orders; he listens to what his people are telling him and utilizes that information to develop new ideas.”
“A good leader realizes that leaders get good results by acting decisively, by showing creativity, and by inspiring confidence. Leaders don’t act based on rumors; they rely on solid facts. They plan ahead. They think before they act. They take responsibility.
“A great leader knows that nobody likes a do-it-yourself; everybody wants some assistance along the way. They recognize that it’s not enough to just know the right thing to do; they have to have the ability to take it out.” “The best leaders are not afraid to make mistakes and learn from them. Mistakes are a crucial part of learning, but mistakes should not stop you before you can get back on your feet.”
“A company has a better probability of success if its goods or services are exceptional, well priced, and broadly available.” “Your clients will trust your judgment and take your advice seriously when you’re cautious about their interests and their needs.” “You don’t have to be perfect to be good in company; the more things you’re willing to risk, the greater your odds for success.” “To be truly great at what you do, you will need to have a passion for it, and it should be an expression of who you are.”
This book discusses various leadership styles. It lists the characteristics of each style, including: modesty, sway, honor, assertiveness, and respect. I strongly recommend this book to anybody who has ever considered becoming a leader, and especially someone that has a background in business or management. This book gives a clear picture of just how critical leadership is, and how to develop leadership skills. Russell Brunson is a leader who achieved enormous success as both an executive and a coach.
He has written a very interesting and thought provoking read that everyone should read. If you are looking for an exceptional introduction to the subject, with good information and effective leadership strategies, this is it. Highly suggested.
