It seems like Russell Brunson is everywhere nowadays. He’s written articles for many magazines, he has been on TV numerous times, and has been invited into more think tanks and discussion groups to go over his ideas. But have you noticed that he’s also been giving out free advice about leadership and events and individuals and what works? I recently did a search for Russell Brunson quotations and came up with many articles and videos and then compiled them into this little list of the best.
“A lot has been said recently about leadership. What’s up today, this is Russell Brunson yet again. Still in beautiful Puerto Rico enjoying some of the best marketers, thought leaders, and personal development gurus on the planet. My goal is simple, to help you become your own best leader, regardless of whether you’re old or young.”
“If you aren’t doing anything, stop doing nothing. Do not go chasing every limelight available, don’t sit around waiting for someone else to do something, do it yourself. There are a lot of ideas out there it’s not possible to take the time to learn them. Find one, learn it, and go out and live it. When I left college, I said that I wanted to be an entrepreneur. Today, that dream has become reality.”
“The difference between success and failure is the amount of work you put in. Most people appear to expect that the more they do, the better they’ll be. The problem is that most people never find out how to do enough to make it effective, and if they try, they will fail.”
“What’s the worst that can happen? You make a mistake, and you pay the purchase price, but it’s nothing compared to what might happen if you succeed. Have you ever noticed that few men and women who appear to live the life they’re supposed to live always seem to fail in one way or another? That is because most of them never took the time to learn what they did not know.”
“The only way to get to direction is to accept the fact that you don’t have all of the answers, and then start to figure them out. If you’re reluctant to change, that is the indication of a person who doesn’t want to lead.” “The first step to leadership is being able to see where you are not going and fixing that.” “A great leader doesn’t just bark out orders; he also listens to what his people are telling him and uses that information to come up with new ideas.”
“A fantastic leader realizes that leaders get great results by acting decisively, by showing creativity, and by inspiring confidence. Leaders do not act based on rumors; they rely on solid facts. They plan ahead. They think before they act. They take responsibility.
“A good leader knows that no one likes a do-it-yourself; everyone wants some help along the way. They recognize that it is not enough to just know the perfect thing to do; they must have the ability to take it out.” “The best leaders are not afraid to make mistakes and learn from them. Mistakes are a crucial part of learning, but mistakes should not stop you until you can get back on your feet.”
“A business has a better probability of success if its goods or services are exceptional, well priced, and broadly available.” “Your clients will trust your judgment and take your advice seriously when you are cautious about their interests and their needs.” “You don’t have to be perfect to be great in business; the more things you are willing to risk, the higher your odds for success.” “To be truly great at what you do, you will need to have a passion for this, and it should be an expression of who you are.”
This book discusses various leadership styles. It lists the characteristics of each style, which include: modesty, sway, honor, assertiveness, and esteem. I strongly recommend this book to anybody who has ever considered becoming a leader, and especially someone that has a background in business or management. This book gives a very clear picture of just how critical leadership is, and how to develop leadership skills. Russell Brunson is a leader who achieved tremendous success as both an executive and a coach.
He has written a very interesting and thought provoking read that everyone should read. If you are looking for an exceptional introduction to the subject, with solid information and effective leadership strategies, this is it. Highly recommended.
